My New Green Smoothie

I am only new to the whole green smoothie revolution. From what I've read in this blog and other various sources having one green smoothie a day has wonderful health and healing benefits for the body.

 So on Saturday I started my go green lifestyle with fresh spinach from my garden and made this very yummy, horrid looking smoothie that is delicious! I got the recipe from here and can't wait to try some of the other variations.

Ingredients:

• 1 handful of spinach
• 1 cup of berries, I only had frozen
• 1 banana
• 1 1/2 cups of water

Other news...

I am sticking with the current logo it seems like my new logo looks a little too..."Paintbrush function on windows" so even though I do like the simplicity of my new design I'm going to stay with the current one. Upgrades on the shop front will hopefully be in place by mid December.

Ok. I'm starting to think it might not be a good idea to change my logo. I've had some feedback and most opinions are keep it as is. Would love to hear your thoughts before upgrades happen...

I've been thinking about updating the shop for a while and have decided to go ahead with it. I think it really needs it. So the shop is getting an overhaul and here is a sneak peak of the new logo and a couple of card designs.

I know my posts have been few and far between lately. I have been so busy I just haven't had time to blog even though I know I have to make time!

So I finally got to the Vienna Art and Design exhibition at the National Gallery of Victoria and what a show. It was one of the most impressive collections I've seen in a while. Definitely a one off show, very inspiring.

I am doing a crash course in photography during the weekend and I wanted to do a bit of research before I went out and bought a camera, so, I went for a visit to you tube and came across these guys. I found it amusing and informative watching Kai Wong review and sometimes torture cameras, he is very funny...

I went and purchased the Canon 550D, I had a quick look over it last night and LOVE it! I just don't know how to use it yet. Will let you know how my course goes!

Oh, while I was on you tube I had to share some good vibes...have a great weekend!

I was given three manequins and instantly knew what I wanted to do with them, this is the start of the first one.

We had the most beautiful weather in the weekend, it was so warm I had ice in my drink such a relief from the cold winter weather. We also managed to do a little landscaping so in all, a lovely couple of days.

My studio was/is a mess! There are paintings everywhere and I have been meaning to organise my space for a while. My very clever HH came up with a hanging system for my large paintings so I have been taking canvas off frames all weekend and I'm really tired of seeing staples...  

Love these cute vintage cards I found in an op shop. I scored a whole heap of them and each one is A4 and still in original plastic.

I love spring. There are so many beautiful colours around the neighbourhood and my vege garden looks a treat.

I've been MIA for a little while, I have had 101 things going at once but more about that later...

I did a lot of procrastinating in the weekend. I cleaned profusely, watched TV and played outside with the girls - then I finally made it to the studio and started playing around with different materials thinking about recycling and repurposing. I have a real dislike for plastic bags and often think about re-using them. Fusing the bags make a strong sturdy and interesting fabric like material. 

And...I Love playing with vintage beads.

I've been working on cushions to sell in the shop. I think they turned out really cute - the girls road tested a couple and seem pretty chuffed but they might be biased... 

If you asked me what I had been doing, I would probably say "everything but nothing" if that makes any sense. Last week my days were full of two sick children, work and general un-inspiring duties like cooking, cleaning and paperwork but in all the trying moments smiles of love, kisses of gratitude really put life in to perspective.

It has been a week since my last post and it seems like a life time. I'm really struggling with finding things to blog about. I hold so much respect for all those fantastic bloggers out there that post 5, 6 times a week there is a lot of work and thought involved in coming up with daily posts and I'm not sure if I am up to it.

Surfing the net for great finds is really time consuming with a young family and I've decided that type of blog is not for me so I'm going to post once or twice a week probably Monday and Thursday hopefully this will keep my blog and me fresh and interesting.
