We had a great time at the State of Design Festival on Sunday, the girls loved it, they made paper planes at the paper plane academy stand pictured above and surprisingly HH enjoyed it too. Sometimes I wish we lived a little closer to the city so I could have gone to a few of the workshops being held at harvest workroom and The design files live talks. There was a huge focus on recycling and upcycling and I loved the open studio workshops by Craft Victoria it was a great chance to meet some of the creatives I have been reading about lately and watch them work.  Lucy from The Design Files has a great summary of the festival read it here

I'm looking forward to the state of design festival in Melbourne this weekend it runs from the 20th - 31st July and has a range of events around the city...Can't wait!

We went to the mountain in the weekend. It was raining, snowy and terrible weather all round but we made the most of it and had a great time...How was your weekend?

MONDAY MORNING

A snippet of blue sky...that's about all we're getting at the moment. It is freeeeeeeezing cold and HH keeps telling me to stop moaning IT'S winter. I think we should move to a warmer climate. What's it like in your neck of the woods?

My four year old bought home a really nasty virus from pre-school and now I am really paying for it. So my posts this week have been few and far between. Next week we should be back in full swing. Have a great wonderful inspiring weekend...

MONDAY MORNING

The weekends fly by way too fast. You probably noticed things are a little different on the blog I've added and removed pictures and text and changed things around. I've also been working on taking photo's. The image above is a picture from my new jewellery line I am a terrible photographer and I can't afford to hire one so I'm never pleased when I take shots of my products. I desperately need a new camera and then learn how to use it...How was your weekend?
