I've been so busy lately - we've (Jen from designgirl) been re-tuning the website and making it more user friendly and professional. I'm really happy with the finished product it's a little simpler and straight to the point, would love to know what you all think? post a comment below...

Thought I would post some new images of the work being done on my studio. I love it. It's a bit like having my own gallery - I don't want to put anything in it.

Hubby found the most gorgeous cord for the lights, I love how they turned out.

It just so happened that when we turned the power on we had two light bulbs that were broken...check the bulbs when you buy them and make sure they're not fused!      x

I have some beautiful new stock coming in next year from Rice dk, all their products are designed in Denmark and most are made in undeveloped countries in a socially responsible way supporting all forms of fair trade (apart from the Italian Tableware which is made in Tuscany) below is a video of how their Italian Tableware is made...it's gorgeous!

Such a busy day today. Sent off last orders for Christmas and ordered new stock while also spending as much time possible with my two girls - they were so good today. Some times I feel like I miss them when I'm working all day.

Decided on the ad I'm going to use, similar to the one I posted earlier different photo and the rotation has changed. The ad should be up in the next couple of days, will see how or if it improves business in the first couple of months.

Almost finished making my christmas cards for friends and family - here are a couple of pics...

Also added this pic because I recycled the poster from October? issue of Frankie Magazine. It makes such a pretty wrapping paper.

Another great day for orders today!

I am about to post an ad on the wonderful Design Files http://thedesignfiles.net/ a blog written by savvy stylist (with so many other talents) Lucy Feagins.

Below are some of the images my web designer designgirl  has sent through to me for the ad - I supplied the files and I'm not really happy with the quality, the pictures were so bright there were to many colours for a gif file. My options are to photograph new images with a black background or use the ones I have - would love to know what you all think? Post below...

Had some great sales in the shop today, was so happy to wake up this morning with orders - hope you enjoy your purchases!

My Studio seems almost finished but still a lot of work to do, really pleased on how it's coming along. My hubby is the greatest handyman ever...

Day four of my post and decided to list a couple of sites that I absolutely love!

Bokja - a duo based in Beirut and recently interviewed in the latest Vogue Living they come from non-design backgrounds and just have a love and great eye for collecting beautiful things...

another "absolute" favourite who was also mentioned in the new issue of Vogue Living is Anna Spiro of Black & Spiro and the most gorgeous design blog absolutelybeautifulthings.blogspot.com

This is Anna's tutu desk...isn't it amazing!

Well that's it for today hope you all had a fantastic weekend...x

Last Sunday we went to drop bits and pieces off at the rubbish tip and much to my husbands horror (and my delight) I discovered they have a shop there that sells unwanted items of "trash" that may be antiques or in good condition.

I found parts of this gorgeous florentine dinner set and thought it was just too great a find to keep to my self...

Another great find - from an op shop...love this retro set from England
and this great milk jug

I have no idea what I am going to use all my different sets for, probably change with my mood! x

Starting out

The kids are sleeping and it's almost midnight and I am starting my new blog! wooohooo...

I have recently started an online store where I sell my artwork and a eclectic collection of bits and pieces that I love.

I am like all those other mums out there trying to come up with ways to make money from home so I can spend those precious - and not so precious moments with my children.

My new blog is going to be about all the goodies I find and the trials and tribulations of starting an online business (with zero experience but much passione)!...stay tuned.
